Firefox Reader View
I use Firefox reader view a lot when browsing the web. Not all news sites, but many have distracting ads, auto-playing video, tracking scripts, and other things that either block content or prevent me from doing what I go to the website to do: read their content.
Firefox Reader (built with readability.js) fixes that, transforming the layout into a simple one column view, free of clutter, ads and distractions. It also gives more controls to the user. I can adjust the size of text and typeface, as well as the contrast of the screen (white text on dark background for low indoor lighting/evening reading)
Another great feature is the read-out-loud which lets you listen to a computer voice read the article to you.
