Figure Studies

Figure Studies - student project

I really enjoyed this class on improving figure drawing. It was very helpful for me and it touched on all the points I wanted it to. Here are some sketches I did from the class, following some of Mr. Marzullo's tips!

Here are some quick action poses from the beginning of the class using my mechanical pencil. I really like how three-dimensional the little cube guy looks in the bottom left corner. I'll definitely be using that technique when drawing non-organic objects!

Some leg studies from behind. I really struggle with drawing legs, so I'm thankful that Mr. Marzullo touched on this.

Here are some torso sketches. I really enjoyed this part of the class. I also struggle with where the anatomy should be in this part of the body, thankful again that we covered this. I'll definitely be practicing some more!

The back, agh! Another helpful section for me in this class! This part was quite difficult to tackle, but I'm glad I gave it a try. I won't get to where I want to be in my drawing skills if I don't practice.

Lastly, some arm, leg, and perspective studies! I can't say it enough, I just loved this class! So many helpful tips and suggestions that I will be putting into use. I definitely will be putting everything I learned into use. If you're interested in improving your drawing skills, I hope you'll go through this class (if you haven't already). I have a good feeling it'd be useful to you like it was for me!
