Hi Liz Thank you for sharing your wonderful cheetah with us! I think you've painted him/her beautifully. If you would like to add more depth (not so flat as you say) to the cheetah, you could maybe try adding a darker tone of paint on the left side of your painting (around his/her back) and keep the right side next to the neck and tall grass light. You could also add a pop of warmer yellow to the middle of the nose (just above the black nose area), add a bit of a shadow under the chin on the left side (near his back). I may do a little more with the background, and I'm going to try to make this kitty less "flat".
