First I chose an image of a fashion figure wearing a print fabric that inspired me.  I love this yellow scarf contrasted with the black checked print!

 

I started with a rough sketch of my fashion figure.

 

I went over my entire sketch with a micron pen to give it some definition.  I was careful to add folds and wrinkles from the original sketch editing where I needed to.  Micron wasn't a necessity, but since this image is so sharp I wanted to capture that by using sharp black lines.

 

Then I started to add my watercolors.  

 

I went back and did another layer or two where the fabric needed some shading.

 

And my final painting is done!
