I’ve been a self-taught watercolor artist for awhile now and normally dislike realistic work because of how time intensive it is BUT I love horses and really wanted to try this painting. Whenever I'm uninspired I turn to tutorials. And Im so glad I did! I’m so happy with how this horse turned out. You gave me some great tips I had forgotten on detailing (or never heard before.) thank you! I used Daniel Smith deep gold, burnt sienna light, van dyke brown, paynes gray and ultramarine blue. 

I call him Fallon. Fallon is a stoic hardworking southern gentlemen that is a sucker for sassy women, warm rain followed by a good dirt bath and long rides up quiet mountain trails. If he had to pick a favorite snack it’s a an apple fresh off the tree but he wouldn’t turn down a carrot from the right girl lol
