Wildlife Photography: How to Take Captivating Animal Portraits

Hi Ann, I'm so glad that you're using your new skills on your pets!I can see that you've listened and implemented a lot of the lessons here: you've got down to eye level, included catch lights and have a great head angle with no harsh lighting. The eyes have been captured magnificently.You've done a great job of capturing your cat's personality as well, the connection has definitely been created.I would have panned the camera slightly more to the right and zoomed out just a tad as the cat's head is facing to the right. In my opinion, there should always be more space where the animal is looking to create balance. The empty space at the top left could be reduced a little and more space could be added to the bottom right.I can't wait to see your photos of wildlife outdoors, I can tell they'll be great!
