Euphoria is You for Me: Downtown Brooklyn
I live in Downtown Brooklyn—which is the actual neighborhood name. I love my hood, especially how diverse it is, how bustling, and how close I am to a lot of different neighborhoods and different vibes (Fort Greene, Dumbo, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill). I also use the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge often to walk to work, which I highly recommend as a way to fall in love with New York over and over again.
In my photo project, I attempt to capture the common and uncommon elements I love most of my little piece of Brooklyn.
Brooklyn Bridge: walk to work often for this view; and when not looking up, looking out at the Statue of Liberty all the way to the Chrysler Building for one of the best city panoramics around
Downtown Brooklyn: my daily view = ♥ daily reminder
Farmers Market: when I start to miss being close to Minnesota open fields and plentiful gardens, I head to my local farmers market; just made a delicious end-of-summer pasta with these heirloom tomatoes
Dumbo Arts Festival: finger painting! with some of the coolest kids around
Hoyt Street: brownstones, tiny gardens, and bright colors
And of course pizza: don't forget where you get the most delicious slices around, bro
