Updated project post: 

I kept the stitching pretty simple on this one and use the basic stitches going over the edge to add a nice repeated linear element to the painted paper, using the color shifts to determine how far in the stitches go.

I love incorporating embroidery details into my watercolor and acrylic papers. It's just a fun way to add design details, emphasize areas, add in texture and dimension, and take a piece further.
