UPDATED: 6/20 Finished the 2nd version today.  

Always enjoy your classes Jane.  You always manage to make the day of painting fun and I will find myself with a giggle or two somewhere along the way!  Great subject.  Sea creatures are so colorful, and dolphins just so smart and majestic!  

I used 100% cotton Arches, Joseph Z’s Grey, Rich green gold, Titanium Grey and Phthalo Blue.  Always fun to use plastic wrap. Managed to keep the paper wet lomg enough to apply the colors, even managed to re-wet the dolphins for a 2nd layer. (Not alwys successful with 2nd layers). Using only 4 colors and I was able to paint directly from the tube on this one.  A little heavy on the green, but I love how the dolphins turned out. (6/20 Just figured out what doesn’t feel right with the left dolphin, I think his eye should be a smidgen further back, might fix this later and see if that helps)

Started a 2nd one, with less green and using sleeping beauty blue as well as Phthalo.  Won’t be able to finish for a few weeks though, my Mom is coming for a stay (Yeah!). Having other family in from out of town as well, but I will be sure and post the 2nd one when I get it finished!

2nd Version using Sleeping Beauty Turquoise & Phthalo Blue - I think I like the 2nd version better.  The dolphins have more light in them.
