Thanks for putting in the time to make this class, Jen!  Very valuable info and tools for those of us that love custom vinyl toys!   

So, I finally decided to just post what I have.  It started off as a completely different design.  Not sure of the platform.  I sanded over the original design then sprayed the primer.  Then I painted the oranges, yellows, and pink.  Still trying to get the even brush stroke method down.  

Just recently discovering the Golden paints.  They're so much better than the folk art/americana brands! :D   

I have one question in particular though.  I noticed you didn't use primer to start off, but I know in the past I've had trouble with the acrylic paint chipping without it.  I've also seen that the blanks have more of a matte surface than other vinyl toys I've purchased.  Is it just that some vinyl you need primer and others you don't?
