SELF REFLECTION

Ben in April 2020, Chelsi in April 2023 (my closest friends at the time each image was captured).

I was afraid that giving Ben any sort of instruction (such as, 'put the phone down for a sec!') would take away from the candid nature of the photo I was trying to make, but with Chelsi, I knew exactly the mood I was trying to capture and wasn't afraid to move myself into different positions or give her direction. Still a lot I would change about that second image if I were to take it again, but at a baseline it's a far more compelling photo.
