Hey Sandy! Good work on the portrait! Even more admirable as you went right for color! I'm happy to hear that you learned a lot! Just a little comment about the values: if you squeeze your eyes half shut, you can see, that the value range is quite similar in your painting. To add more depth to your portrait, you could add more varities of color (darker, but not necessarily more desaturated colors) around the contour of her face, her cheekbones and where the other darker parts of her face are. That will give her much more plasticity. You added some of the around the  nose and on the right side of her face already. Overall good job with the portrait!PS.
