Color Palette Practice

I had so much fun taking this class! I loved how easy it was to put everything to practice.

I love colors! and my Rainbow board on Pinterest can testify that with thousands of palettes that I have pinned to use later, but I really, really wanted to create my own. I am always amazed to see all the color combinations out there, so I wanted to give it a try and learn how to do it myself  instead of using someone elses's all the time.

So My time finally came to do something that I have been meaning to do for the longest time and with this class I got to do it soon. Of course I still have so much more to learn, but i couldn't handle the urge anymore, so I took my notes and was oh so ready to get my hands on that color wheel.

At first I wanted to follow each and every recommendation and step I learnt until half process I was reminded (good job brain!) that the point of all this is to be able to play, enjoy and experiment, and learn from the so called "mistakes" and if I don't dare to to expriment and make mistakes I am never gonna learn. And so I just started to click on the available colors and decide my tummy decide if it liked it or not. This is why I ended up with 60 different combinations! Of course I can tell that some of them don't work at all, but I was happy that I let myself go.
Soemthing that I really liked about creating this project was that on the 3rd palette I accidently chose  a color that made everything cohesive to my eye ( a happy little accident if you may)  and I really loved it! I decided to stick to my the colors that I had already chosen, so I did not have to go back to all the other variations and include it. It got me thinking how much have I lost just for stikcing to what I know? why did I chose to stick to something that I liked, but didn't love just because is familiar or it requieres extra effort? My journal will definetely hear about this.

All in all, as my first ever formal approach to create a cohesive color palette I can say that I am happy with the results and I take with me not only the valuable tips of this lesson, but also the insight I got of myself while learning!

Thank you so much for this lesson
