Collagraph Project

I'm so excited about this process! What a great class!
Here's my process photos:
Here's my guide on the substrate. I made a simple design because I just wanted to try out the process without too much difficulty. I numbered them so that I would remember where the pieces fit.
Here's the cut-outs from my tissue paper.
Then I cut out the cardboard from the tissue pattern pieces and affixed them with Tacky Glue because that's what I had on hand. Tacky Glue works well.
I glued on a bunch of other stuff just to see what would happen - I also carved out the cardboard to make some little trees.
Here's my plate completely covered with numerous coats of clear acrylic.
I made about 12 prints before I was able to get the 'ink' issues worked out. I had to add a lot of acrylic flow release to my acrylic paint to get it to behave like ink. (Thanks Gemma, for letting my know that would work!)
I'm really happy with the results and am already thinking about a design that could work for my Christmas Cards this year...
Thanks, Gemma! You're a great teacher.
