One sentence pitch:

An academy of nursery rhyme characters and their stories. 

Here are a few characters.  Personally I'm still trying to list more but I figured this was a good list to post. 

 

Headmistress Goosman 

Want - Wants her students to succeed 

Need - Companionship (she is lonely)

Secret - She was in love a long time ago but her career came first and she lost her love

Personality - Strict

Magical ability - She knows exactly the tactic that will get her what she wants from her students from putting the fear of God into a troublemaker to being a support system for the students that need it the most

 

Doctor Fell (Math Teacher)

Want - Wants to be teaching at a better institution than Goosman Academy

Need - to realize that he’s the problem as to why he can’t get what he wants

Secret - Has a crush on the school nurse/health teacher

Personality - Narcissist 

Magical Ability - he can make the most understanding of people hate him 

Bonnie Pepperton (Popular Girl)

Want - To keep her rule over the school and get into a good law school

Need - Needs something to challenge her.  So far things have come to her easily

Secret - her family is secretly rich by possibly nefarious means

Personality - Firecracker, Pistol, Dynamite, Bombshell (you get it)

Magical Ability - she can sweet talk her way out of trouble very successfully

Sidney Durmand aka Spider (Troublemaker)

Want - Wants to date Muffy (Missy Muffet - popular girl)

Need - To feel accepted for who he is

Secret - He’s very empathetic.  

Personality - Mysterious and tough

Magical Ability - He’s the guy who knows a guy who knows a guy

 

Rose Tishman aka Rosey

Want - Wants to work at a museum or wants to become a librarian 

Need -  Needs to let people in and needs to develop a support system

Secret - Extremely tragic backstory that she never talks about (family member dying right in front of her when she was young)

Personality - Odd/strange/weird

Magical Ability - She’s difficult to get to know.  Tends to evade talking about herself to an extremely high degree
