The hardest part was to decide what to draw. I settled for a character from the Rocky and Bullwinkle show.

My intention was to copy and learn. Here's my sketch. The texture of the paper really stands out.

And here's my final illustration:

 

I'm very happy with the end result. Recreating this on my computer using a track ball was challenging.
