Builder, Socialite, Networker & Grinder

I put together a vision board of what type of illustrator I think am in terms of building my client list and working professionally. It was helpful for me to take this class and understand the different methods and habits of illustrators in finding clients according to the categories described in the class. I see myself as a combination of The Builder, Socialite, Networker and Grinder. I engage in a range of these archetype activities as described by James. My main issues are with leveling up my portfolio fast enough, dividing my time in terms of which activities I should be focusing on, and being more patient about seeing each effort through - allowing them time to work before moving on. I included a sample email that was one of my more successful outreach efforts. I usually always do my homework on who I am communicating with, and speak to them in a friendly, but professional manner, and I include images within the body of the email as well as a link to my portfolio. I'm also constantly adding new work to my portfolio, and take classes to work on my skills, and learn new skills. I'm a talker, and I like people, so my greatest asset is (hopefully) building relationships with clients and other creatives. I make a lot of mistakes, but I never give up.
