Sweet work, Carmen. Nice looseness and great colour choices.

This is so incredible Carmen! There are so many lovely aspects to this. My favourite part are the pine trees, you've achieved a really nice balance of detail and abstraction. Along with a nice harmony of colours. I like the subtle sky too, it's good that you allowed it to do it's own thing. In fact I see a lot of lovely organic textures in this and I think it has something to do with it being a 'rush job'. I find in my paintings that if I spend a lot of time fiddling around it loses the magic, however when I force myself to speed up and put faith in the final outcome, the result ends up more intriguing and pleasing. It was a good exercise to rush this painting because it has caused a lot of exciting, spontaneous effects. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas as well! The Caribbean sounds lovely, see you back in January! :)

A bit of rush job ..too much blue..as traveling tomorrow for holidays in Caribbean so no published paintings until next year! Just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas Will ,enjoy and see you back here in Jan 2023.
