In light of the recent sad news, and having been a long-time fan, I thought a David Bowie tribute might be in order.

So this is the result of my search for patches on Pinterest, with David Bowie in mind:

This is my favourite patch from AppleMetal:

It's written in Swedish and is the colours of the Swedish flag and as I am Swedish... well, self explanatory really. 

My sketches are pretty rough, but I had a strong idea in mind. I decided to take the classic image of Bowie as Aladdin Sane and somehow incorporate the imagery of his last album, Blackstar. 

     

These are my final patches. I'm fairly new to Illustrator so I'm pleased with how they turned out.
