I gave this my best shot but eventually gave up. I must have tried to solder the 2 ovals together 20 times but something always went wrong. The upper oval moved several times and managed to solder itself to the lower oval on a couple of occasions. The loop either self destructed or was soldered to the bottom oval. In the end I opted for several pairs of earrings with single ovals as I had acquired quite a few along the way! These have sparkly little citrine rondelles.
