Ben Matthews // Shoot More Film
These photos are from a few different rolls that I took with my Pentax MX 35mm camera using either Kodak Portra 400, Kodak Ektar 100, Kodak Gold 400, or Fuji Superia 400.
Being mainly an outdoor/adventure photographer, I have been experimenting with different films and styles of shooting to create a unique image that is different from the classic DSLR shots of the pros today. Although I do shoot digital still, I really enjoy shooting with film for the fact that you have to make each shot count. It's about quality over quantity with film. The following are some examples of what I have been working on around the country. Most are outdoors/adventure photos, but there are a few street photos, as well.
Snow Day. (Fayetteville, AR // Kodak Ektar 100)
Foggy Day at the Fire Tower. (Idaho Springs, CO // Kodak Portra 400)
Above the Clouds. (Idaho Springs, CO // Kodak Portra 400)
Rest Day. (Mt. Charleston, NV // Fuji Superia 400)
Camped on the Edge. (Hawksbill Crag, AR // Kodak Gold 400)
A Sliver of Light in Dallas. (Dallas, TX // Fuji Superia 400)
Faded. Topping Out on the classic, "Aiguille de Joshua Tree" route in Joshua Tree NP (Joshua Tree, CA // Kodak Ektar 100)
Out in the Ozarks. (Sam's Throne Area, AR // Kodak Ektar 100)
Going into the Light. (Bentonville, AR // Fuji Superia 400)
Thanks for Looking!
