I enjoyed seeing your planning process, and I feel like I learned a lot!  I loved the section about encouraging students to get started on the project immediately- with one small step at a time!  I want to incorporate that into my classes for sure!

I teach watercolor and mixed-media art classes :) 

For my classes, my planning tends to be analog - in a notebook, at least at the beginning.  I often work backward, choosing a project, and then pulling out key techniques and processes I use in the painting, and incorporate those into technique lessons.
