I usually use pointed pen, but I've been looking for a Foundational course that included uppercase and swashes for ages. Luckily Jackson's class teaches everything and is clear and comprehensive. I'm afraid I cheated on the pen and am using a Pilot Parallel Pen 3.8mm throughout.

These are my first attempts.

I'm finding characters such as 's' and '8' particularly difficult to get right, so am focusing on these in particular.

This is my final piece. I really enjoyed figuring out how to play with the letterforms. I cheated on this piece and traced my sketch rather than kept to strict guidelines, and I think it shows. But I really enjoyed getting to grips with this fundamental hand and cannot wait to get started on Jackson's other classes!
