Hi Jules! So glad you enjoyed the class! Your result is great! It looks fresh and realistic and you've done such a nice job with the lights and shadows! So good! As for the muddy situation, here are my tips on how to avoid it (or at least minimize it): - always wait for the previous layer to dry completely; - use a very soft brush and don't press too much; - use high-quality paper; - start from the lightest and brightest color and try make an effort to wet the entire area with as less brush strokes as possible; - and finally - muddy is not always bad, in fact, I think it often helps us achieve realism as colors in nature are often not that bright.
