It has been a long while since last time I tried to paint or draw a tree. It was really nice to give it a try again. I used a reference image and after I finished my trees I realized I needed to add some ground and painted a green-brown grass cover. I had fun testing different ways to paint Aspen bark. I think my favorite is the version on the left (from the small testing square) with thick black outlines. It looks cartoonish but I love the contrast it creates. My paper dried suuuuper fast so I needed to improvise and used wet on wet technique even for the outlines and I think it turned out good.
