I live in Arizona and so I wanted to try this exercise with a desert scene that showed our beautiful sunsets and some simple saguaros silhouettes.  The one on the left is on Baohong cold-press, the one on the right is on New York Central hot-press.

It was definitely a learning experience to do the same scene on two different paper types, and the demonstrations on wetness vs paint consistency and brush load were all very helpful to get a little more control in painting the sky and clouds.
