Ads - student project

March 22nd, 20201 Update:

Me and everyone I asked were most fond of the ad with the photo, so I decided to build the rest of the sizes with it.

I modified the logo to make the font more readable and the boat more prominent so I wouldn't have to take it off the composition, but it is something I am still considering...

The Half Page size looked a bit skimpy with only two lines of text, so I added a third one:

I loved this class! Muita Obrigada, Juliana!!!

I am working on some ads for a friend's fishing company and this helped heaps. I am at the first stage, trying to match the ads to the website where these will land, but was feeling like the minimalist, illustration-based design is not as catchy as something with pictures, plus the company logo starts looking real fuzzy and pixely at this quality.

I created another version with only the text from the logo, but I'd love some thoughts on how this affects the branding...

I did another batch  using photography backgrounds to capture more attention.

This one, I am afraid, might come across more as an ocean conservation org rather than a seafood company... is that so?

To make the message crystal clear, I used a food photo instead and made the logo bigger, but then the landing page would not match very well the style...

ah tradeoffs!Ads - image 9 - student project

I'll keep posting updates in here when I pick one and develop the other sizes!
