Wow- what a magical class! This is truly “Book as Art”. As I watched the class, more and more ideas kept occurring to me.I also have a large stash of vintage fabrics and buttons. This is fabric cover with vintage button. I found the perfect button. The theme for this journal is wrapped up in Klimt- Mucha- elegance and opulence. 

I am familiar with the accordion fold - but I was never happy with the result. The mountains and valleys were not working well for me….this technique is the solution.

I love that this journal folds out FLAT.  it’s a delight to work in. The papers are free flowing with no hitches. This journal has 5 mountains and plenty of sides to work on. I did not want white paper showing on outside. I used black Sharpy to color outside binding.  I painted the accordion hinge gold before folding up.

As I was thinking about the pockets-many ides came to mind. I made my pockets using black cardstock.

I love this journal. Well - time to make another one, this was so much fun and satisfying to make.Thank you, Denise -for another fabulous class:)………
