A couple of quick sketches, worked in wax and watercolour crayon (Neocolor I and II), while watching the videos as warm up. Both are still quite "landscape" but I can see how to get to the looser sketches with more practice and different materials (I just used what was available on my desk). Some good concepts and techniques for working towards abstraction which I will put into practice using my own reference locations in the future.
