Hello! I'm pretty new to plant-mom-hood (despite having a few of these for two years now!), and I'm just trying to figure out what to do. This class has been very helpful in giving me some tips and ideas on how to move forward with my little window garden!

All of my plants were purchased at grocery stores, so I don't know what species they are, which definitely makes it a little harder to figure out a good soil mix/watering schedule. For the most part, I wait until the soil is entirely dry and then I bottom water (take the plastic pot out of the ceramic pot and let the plastic pot and plant sit in a big bowl of water until it stops pulling up water). This has worked pretty well for most of them! 

My current set up is a plant stand in front of my office window. I could put them outside, but I live in Colorado, and the weather is so unpredictable that I wasn't sure how well that would work out. Now that summer is approaching, I may set up a nice little area outside for my succulents to hang out and transition the plant holder in the office into a baby plants station.

On to the pictures!

The one pictured above is one of my two newest plants. It's recently started to get some dryness at the tips, which I'm not sure what to do about. It gets solid indirect light.

 

This one above is also a new one! It's a mixture of succulents that looks really pretty , but I'm wondering if some of these need more or less light. Right now, they're in the back of the plant stand, getting indirect light.

 

I've had the two above for a little over a year now (sadly, one of my old cats liked to chew on the leaves of my plants, and I'm not sure if I should do anything about those edges - like I said, I'm real new in my research since I want to do these plants justice). The ones in front get direct lighting, while the one with the chewed leaves gets indirect.

 

The two to the left are my oldest plants - I've had them for two years (again, Natsuo liked to eat the spiky one for some reason). I'm considering replanting the one to the back since it's gotten so tall. These guys are at the very front, so they get the most light.

 

These ones are pretty happy! They get a decent amount of sun and seem to like it.
