Hello Keller,“A Sad Hope” is a really beautiful piece! I’m very impressed by it. And you should be very proud of it!Here are some things that I wanted to point out that I thought were great about it:Good use of chord inversions. Good use of v chord to i chord to create tension/release. Good job ending on i chord at the end. Nice use of rhythmic variety in melody.For your chord progression you should try creating a B section that uses a different, but related, chord progression. This would help you extend the piece and make it longer.For your melody, on the strong beats of the measure, beats 1 and 3, use a note in the melody that comes from the chord playing in the bass clef staff. For example in measure 6, beat 1, you use the note “B” that is not part of the d minor chord in the bass clef staff. Hello Mr. Rivera, this is&nbsp;the&nbsp;first original piece I've composed for this class and the first of my original compositions. It's only a little longer than a minute and a half, but I still think I can be proud of it!
