30 days of birds

30 days of birds - student project

I have chosen 30 days of birds to be my drawing challenge.  Over the past two weeks, I have been using Stephanie's photoshop methods to explore creating flowers, animals and birds.  From Stephanie's suggestions in this class, I've decided that 30 days is a good length, and after the last few days of sketching birds, I've decided that I have some hope of producing 30 birds.  I hope that in this challenge, I will get a lot of practice drawing birds, and I hope I can get better at photoshop, including a better workflow for using brushes and creating textures.

My hashtags: #30daysofbirds, #stephfcskillshare, #photoshop, #birdillustration, #birdillustrations, #birddrawings, #birdartist, #birdart.

My first piece of art will be the following...

I would like to spend the next week or so putting together a few more sketches, ideas, and even images, and getting my system ironed out before I officially start.  Any comments most welcome.  My instagram name is gailgongster.

Since my initial post to this project I have created the following birds (7 more days worth):

And there seems I have no excuse to start.  However, my back has started bothering me again, I think made worse by my creating the above images, and so I have decided to take a week or so off until my back feels more comfortable.  Perhaps a good time to start is January 1, 2019.
