Photographer, Designer in Seattle

I chose to edit some photos from my trip to Yosemite last summer. My normal IG workflow is using VSCO, and sometimes doubling up with Priime. I've used snapseed in the past - long, long time ago - so I re-downloaded it and photoshop express. Both of which are much improved since the last time I used them a couple years ago. For this project, I started with A6, my go to filter in VSCO, then did some tweaks with Snapseed and Photoshop. I then finished the images off with some M5 in VSCO.

Glacier Point - Yosemite National Park

My wife suprised me with a trip to Yosemite for my 30th birthday. We'd seen all the iconic shots on Instagram, and I was excited to see it for myself, and to take a crack at photographing them as well. Making our way up to Glacier Point to see sunset, I had to stop here, as I'd seen a lot of shots on this bend. I took a few shots from the road, but wasn't really satisfied, so I climbed up onto the rocks as high as I could to get this much more interesting vantage point.

Half Dome at Dusk, from Glacier Point - Yosemite

The views from Glacier Point are amazing, but as the sun goes down over the horizon, that is when the colors in the sky really start to come out.

Sun Setting on Half Dome, from Sentinel Bridge - Yosemite

After an all day 15 mile hike around the valley, I caught this scene from Sentinel Bridge as I was waiting for my wife to get the car. The sun setting on half dome, while a kayaker glides through the reflection, framed by the trees was a cool scene to witness, and really I'm glad I was able to capture it.
