I'm a children's book illustrator with over ten years of experience. I've illustrated 18 published picture books. I used to work in watercolour but have adapted my practice to work in Photoshop whilst maintaining a loose sketchy style.

In this class, we'll work through some exercises to help you to create a character you love. We'll look at proportions, age and expression and ways to help you loosen your sketching style.

When you have created a character you love we'll take your best drawing and illustrate it in Photoshop. I'll show you how to draw without loosing that sketchy 'just drawn' style. You'll create a rush collection and colour palette for your character so that when you draw them again it will be consistent.Sketch to Photoshop - image 5 - student projectSketch to Photoshop - image 6 - student projectSketch to Photoshop - image 7 - student projectSketch to Photoshop - image 8 - student project
