I've loved this class SO much!! The biggest things I've learned and will continue to work on are studying figures and proportions so that I can quickly sketch a dramatically weighted skeleton as a base for garments, and to NOT overthink the garments so that I can explore my interpretation of them more freely and truly capture their essence with watercolor and embellishments! Here are my final submissions:
Project 9 - FINAL - In the future, I'll be focusing more on posing and adding more movement & gravity to my models!

Project 8 - FINAL - Line weight work + experimenting with microbeads and more ultra-fine glitter. LOVED working with the beads!!

Project 7 - FINAL - More line weight work + back view and ultra-fine glitter gradient practice.

Project 6 - FINAL - Working on line weight, posing, layering sheer fabrics, keeping distinct colors and using a glitter glue pen with ultra fine glitter!

Project 6 - I went too heavy on the pink glitter, I think it would have been better if I dispersed it more and did a gradient downward..

Project 5

Project 4: Inspired by Elie Saab SS13

Project 3: Inspired by Alice + Olivia SS13 (I took a lot of liberty with this one)

Project 2

Project 1: Inspired by Valentino SS13

I love ethereal gowns and feminine silhouettes with high detail embellishments. I'm a huge fan of gemstones, feathers, ruffles and lace in conjunction with billowing skirts and lots of layers and draping. I love the way light plays with the details and when bold colors are thrown into the mix.
