I did a lot of exploration to get to this. Here's some of my process:

I quickly saw the challenge was going to be the v/r relationship. One of the bolder sketches pointed me towards my end result using blackletter style. There were simpler solutions to be found, but I wanted an elevated look.

Then I started playing with styling. I found I could shade the v/n character to help it the 'r' read separate from the 'y.'

Ultimately I wanted to put this on a hat for the company I work for, Ivory Headwear.
