The Experience Lab

About

The Experience Lab is a community designed to help college students become internship-ready, compete for great opportunities, and approach internships, field experiences, practicums, and other career-building experiences as more than requirements to complete. Members gain practical guidance, resources, and community support to help them pursue meaningful opportunities, stand out as candidates, make the most of their experiences, and use what they gain to position themselves for life and work after graduation.

Why I Chose This Community

In my work with college students, I often see students approach an internship as a course requirement...credits and hours they need to complete before graduation. I want students to see something bigger: an internship is an opportunity to develop skills, build professional relationships, gain meaningful experience, discover what they do and do not want in a career, and begin positioning themselves for what comes next.

The Experience Lab grew from that idea. I want to help students move beyond simply completing an internship to intentionally choosing, pursuing, and using experiences that can help shape their next steps after college.
