4 easy landscape paintings with tape
I loved this short class - thank you so much, Anna! I've done some fun experimenting with different colours schemes, horizons and brush strokes. I feel I was rather heavy-handed with the paint though and want to achieve something lighter and looser, and more modern-looking ... next time?! 😉
Experiment 1: orangey background, greens from mixing System 3 sky blue light with System 3 cadmium yellow, and black, with Amsterdam sky blue light for the sky.

Experiment 2: paler orange background, Pebeo burnt sienna for the horizon, Amsterdam gold yellow and the kitchen sink! I put the tape in the wrong place on two of them, too low down, so added an extra band of land below the sky!

Experiment 3: trying for a more contemporary look! Liquitex Cadium yellow deep and System 3 Cadmium yellow for the background, greens from mixing Amsterdam turquoise blue, Amsterdam greenish yellow and more yellow!

Experiment 4: SG Parisian blue, Liquitex unbleached tinanium, Amsterdam gold yellow, System 3 cadmium red, System 3 yellow ochre ... all too much! Payne's grey for the horizon.
