Yes Gabriella, it was super hard, I didn’t do it justice to be honest. There are some really great ones up on the project section.

Oh Helen you absolutely did it justice! This is a really challenging scene, but you’ve captured such a wonderful sense of atmosphere, glowing light and movement in the wet street. I especially love the rich darks against those warm orange and red reflections, it makes the whole painting feel alive. Even if it didn’t feel easy while you were painting it, the finished result has so much energy and character. Thank you for sticking with it and giving the class a go, you should be proud of this one!
