Volunteer City Tour - Obidos

Hey everyone! This is my first attempt at a short AI-assited video script to promote our volunteer tours for familied in the town of Obidos.
Project Proposal: Óbidos "Time Travel" Volunteer Tours & Library Book Drive 1. Project Overview & Background This project is an initiative organized by our local volunteer community of international residents living along the Silver Coast, created in collaboration with the Óbidos City Hall. Our main goal is to support the local Óbidos public library, which is in dire need of extra financing to buy new books for local children and school groups. To help fund these books, we are organizing special interactive family walking tours focused on the history, culture, and legends of Óbidos.
2. Project Concept & Structure The tours are designed as a "Time Travel Adventure through Óbidos" tailored for families and children (ages 6–15).
- Interactive Quests & Stations: Instead of a standard lecture, families receive a special map with clues and historical stations located throughout the fortress (exploring themes like The Magic of Water & Aqueducts, The Óbidos Queens, and Hidden Corners).
- Family Engagement: Children solve historical puzzles to earn small prizes, making local history fun and memorable.
- Cultural Experience: Every tour ends with time to sample traditional local Óbidos chocolate and explore local craft shops.
- Donation Model: The tours are free to join. At the end of the walk, participants can make a voluntary donation. 100% of these contributions go directly toward purchasing new children's books for the local library.
Did you know Óbidos has hidden corners and ancient stories just waiting to be explored?
We’re a team of local volunteers hosting free weekend walking tours filled with fun "time travel" quests, custom maps, and prizes for kids! It’s a wonderful way for families to connect with local history, try some delicious local chocolate, and support a great cause.
How it works:
The tours are free to attend! At the end, we collect voluntary donations to buy new children's books for the Óbidos public library. Over the summer, everyone’s generosity helped us raise over €1,000 and fill the library shelves with brand-new books—and we’re just getting started. 💛
