A Little Peace Every Day
I'm so glad I found this peaceful challenge painting a beautiful teacup every day. I just started into sketching and watercolor over a year ago and have been urban sketching. Just as you said, I am scared to mess up a beautiful blank sketchbook page and I don't always have something I want to paint every day, or feel confident enough with, or have time to do, though I know I NEED the practice. This makes daily practice much more manageable for a busy teacher. I'm looking forward to the next one!
II wasn't pleased with how the grease pencil turned out on the second one. Maybe I'll try my white gel pen next time.
Update: Barbara, I can't thank you enough for this wonderful class. I'm a busy high school teacher and I've had a rough start to the school year. This was exactly what I needed to relax a little every day. I tried 3 of my own tea cups this week and I really enjoyed trying to sketch them. I'm sure I will keep going with these and with your teapot class, as well. This was truly, truly wonderful. Something to look forward to each day.
