microfossil dreams 🐚

Few years ago i colaborate in a project called as the tittle of my project here.

A queer micropaleontology project exploring interspecies connections and dreams of multi-matter dignity. The process involved establishing collaborative dynamics to trace feelings and emotions that emerged during the study of microfossils extracted from the La Huasteca area in Nuevo León. Mx.

Here are some of the photos of the project and some of the writings i did, i think this project was one of the reasons that lead me to merge more onto natural writing. Hope everyone that step here enjoy.

Ps. sorry if my english it's not perfect i had to translate the writings.

Why am i here?

That's how most of the stories begin in life i guess.

Curiosity and a sense of the unknown have always stirred within me. My journey as a collector began in childhood, when insects became my first significant discoveries - an experience i imagine mirrors paleontologists feel in their own work. It was a time when my cousins and i would discover the world together, one new insect or plant at a time.

Gathering fragments of galaxies and universes that would unfold before our expectant eyes. Curiosity, and the question: WHAT ELSE does the universe have to reveal to me?...

After a few months of work in the project where we don't even sure we will find some of these incredibles forms of life.

  • Fieldwork
  • Exploration in the area
  • Collection
  • Classification and labeling of each sample
  • Washing
  • Polishing and sanding
  • Transport to the laboratory for examination to see if the search yielded any results. And luckily it did!

As microfossils do not fall under the classification of any animal kingdom. They are unclassifiable just as i am. Just as queer people who for many time felt unseen and out of the box or felt like doesn't fit in any place.

But once you found your community it all makes sense and understand you need no labels to fit in.

These are some of the microfossils under the microscope 💖
