Action Figure — the versions from memory were downright comical! Oof. I really enjoyed abstracting the shoes and laces. While I've always had a hard time with hands, I think they got better as the class went on.

Page of Poses — I learned to ice skate + play hockey this year, so did various types of skating (from amazing vintage photos). Those kids eating ice cream in skirts on ice are tougher than me.

People in Shapes — I LOVED this excercise and found it really fun to see where various limbs would end up, or what kind of pose the shape inspired. As the person took shape (ha) each one had a specific mood from the body language. Had fun with line patterns giving direction, too.

Exaggeration — Real life story: I had to prune a plant. Felt dramatic, so why not give the act some extra exaggeration in an illustration?
