Explorations through the world

Some of these are old pictures but i can see some of the points you made through the class, so i would love if you could point it out if my understanding was correct or maybe how can i improve some of these shots, all i know the best way to improve is to keep practice as much as i can so the eye will eventually make all the work without trying.

ps. english it's not my first language so sorry for the mistakes :)

Explorations through the world - image 1 - student projectIm not used to take photos of people because i find it really hard but this is one for a project i did with a friend and most of all really liked me, so what i love about this one specially are the colors and contrast that involve the picture also i do think the framing its ok??

Explorations through the world - image 2 - student projectI really love Toronto is one the cities i knew without expectations and have so many things to offer, i like the simmetry in this one even thought it's not completely simmetrycal gives all the focus to the star of the city, the CN TOWER and i think i use correctly the rule of thirds well partially with the building at the bottom but remain a bit of the lake there.

Explorations through the world - image 3 - student projectThis is a frame of the Golden Gate Bridge in SF. i want to focus on the details more than the usuall photo of the bridge also Carl the Fog was giving all the vibes that make you feel so little, so it was planned more to be an atmospheric photo, kind of nostalgic the way the fog cover the bridge give me the feeling of something infinite.

Explorations through the world - image 4 - student projectSo this is a more obvious photo of the bridge but what i like is the framing of it, took it from a window on the Fort Point , if you stare enough you can feel like you're inside this room watching from that tiny window. The contrast is perfect and the lines of the bridge gives all the depth in the shot.

Explorations through the world - image 5 - student projectI love taking photos in nature, specially flowers and some bugs. But i think what makes this even more special is the perfect lighting of the sunrise like you can feel the breeze of the morning and the smell of the grass and see all the detaills in the flower.

Explorations through the world - image 6 - student projectanother example of a flower being the star even though its around many of them she was the lucky one to have all the credits. I think this is a good example of what you meant of the use of focal lenth.

Explorations through the world - image 7 - student projectAnd this last one using a little bit of all you show in the class or that is what i though.

  • Symmetry
  • rule of thirds
  • leading lines
  • Light
  • Balance

That's it, it's a wrap i would really appreciate if you can point any observation or way i can improve more. I'm definitely going to buy a tripod that's for sure. Thanks for your time Edi
