Learning To Learn
I haven't included Focus training in my pictures as I have not yet utilized it yet. I finished this course in three days, very spaced apart. As I had exams and therefore took a week to rest. I did lose memory of some of the previous points explained, however thanks to utilizing the techniques taught as I went through the lesson I learned how the lessons indeed help. I started out the lesson writing a 'wall of text'

And as predicted I struggled to retain the information I wrote down. During the video mind mapping was talked about, I immediately switched note taking techniques and vastly saw improvement. I was thinking about the notes even after writing them down and it was easier to visually summarize. Albeit the notes were... REALLY messy.

I experimented with pen, then added colour. When color wasn't immediately available for use I used pencil. I don't mind messy notes, however since I do have a stylus I will be reattempting this note taking technique using the Apple Freeform app. I have yet to practice focus training since I really wanted the completed Skillshare project badge, I started writing this first. I plan to experiment with Remnotes in the upcoming days (perhaps today), though I think I already prefer the retrospective template just because it has a more tradional (writing by hand) feel to it.

I hope to continue to learn and improve on my studying techniques. I took a gap year(s) therefore I will be starting university next year after upgrading my current Highschool grades. I appreciate all the effort put to make this course, it was highly helpful.
Kind regards

P.S: Your videos are too eye catching! It makes me want to binge watch and procrastinate on my real work 😂
