For the first painting, I was inspired by some of the projects from the other students to try a few different effects. I wasn't getting as much looseness from the flat brush I had, so I tried to see what happened with an older round brush. 

For the other paintings, I explored a variety of brushes. The frozen landscape variations interested me the most, so I did a few of them.
