It is quite important for me to learn about value, composition and limited colour palette in simple projects than the complicated ones. Your work caused my painting process to be liberated as it’s so easy to feel like I’m not doing enough. Still figuring out how I can intentionally paint something abstract and fresh, but it’s becoming clearer I enjoy the simple and impressionistic work. Lovely to complete your mini collection class because I have continued filling my own mini sketchbook since the start of the new year, and I reached more than 100 paintings as of today, and each time I paint I’m focusing on creating, and less consuming, including social media 😆 minimalistic life-style is what I need the most ! 

These are beautiful and emotive! I love how you used the polaroid framing. :)

Thank you Jerney. I have been working on gouache projects Polaroid size - so that’s why I also tried the same in watercolour projects…. 🤭

Thank you Judy for always being so kind and you don’t know how much I’m being supported by your words !  Just finished the other two in the mini collection, using 100% cotton paper this time. I enjoy Baohong product lately. I am experimenting with different types of paper, and it’s been interesting to see how paint works on them. I didn’t intend it - but it kind of looks like there is a sun peaking through in the scene with the little flower field, it’s an unexpected result 😆 often I go back again trying to refine, but I’m not that upset about my imperfection, I think my personality is shown in my work, and I’m going to be kind to myself 🧡

Thank you Candice, a lovely class again.  I'm just enjoying to let go of trying to make everything perfect. I know my ones are so imperfect but I am embracing my process, and leaving it as is 😛
