Although I have to say I tried making Ice Cream with Tangerine and Banana but it didn't taste very good.... have you tried Tangerine ice cream? any advise to make it taste better? :)

Hi Laura!!! Brown sugar is really much healthier and you can also try Stevia. As for tangerine (like orange) I prefer to use it juiced for sorbetto or granita, because it has a very distinctive but delicate taste that, as you said, can be covered and not enhanced by stronger tastes like banana. The funny thing is that right after reading your message yesterday night  I was at the restaurant and they were serving Tangerine Sorbetto: I loved it!!!

Hi Laura!!! Try this recipe!
10 Tangerines, 1/2 glass of prosecco (optional :), 1 egg white, 100ml of water, 75gr of sugar.
Boil the water with sugar and grated tangerine's zest, let it cool while juicing the tangerines. Add the tangerine juice to the sugar syrup and prosecco if you like. Start the process of freezing it (the same one of the Italian ice), the first one you take the sorbetto out of the freezer to mix it with the fork add a whipped egg white to make it very smooth. Finish the process just like you did with the Italian Ice and at the end use an hand blander to smooth it out. 
Let me know out it comes out!!! I'll try it too as soon as we will have tangerines in Italy.

I'm glad to show you my yummy lemon italian ice today! It looks brown because I used brown sugar to make it, but rest assured it tastes as delicious as any other I have ever tried!
Delicious, cheap and homemade...! What else can you hope for? :)
