Here's my second Ellen inspired artwork. For this one I used the insides of security envelopes again to create a gridded background. Then instead of staying abstract with the watercolor papers, I discovered and pieced together a fish-like creature. Then it was all about the colored pencil color and value layering to bring that fish-like creature to life. 

Here is my first artwork inspired by Ellen's grid work, line details, and biomorphic imagery that I cut out of a watercolor painted paper.
