Playing With Color Field Paintings
Here are some of the experimental color field paintings I created while exploring different mediums and solvents Elisabeth explored in this class.
The first was done with soft pastels and baby oil on kraft colored paper. This was my favorite method as the colors stayed bright and saturated.

The second was created with Holbein colored pencils (oil based) and Meltz as a solvent. I didn't have mineral spirits so was unable to try this with oil pastels.

The final two were done with concentrated watercolors, the yellow on mineral paper and the blue/green on watercolor paper.
